How to Get an Entrepreneurship Idea?

Many people in this world struggle to find good ideas in which they could invest their effort and money. Especially people with the intention of going into business. Most often you will meet people who would tell you they are looking/think of what to do as a business.

Ideas are worth gold. But having one can be tedious. Besides, having a good idea can be a serious headache. Many people in this world, lack the possibilities of finding good ideas. Even some successful people also suffer from the problem.

In this article I would like to share with you a lesson from Peter Day on how to get an entrepreneurial idea.

BBC journalist, Peter Day interviewed generations of young start-up entrepreneurs over the years.

He summarized the words of advice they have shared with him on taking the route. And he put it in a form of lessons and the second lesson deals with how to get an entrepreneurship idea.

FOCUS ON THE IDEA STARING YOU IN THE FACE

Lots of people go about finding their niche by using business school tools. Why not start a business based on a need you have yourself which is not addressed by existing suppliers?

You experienced the gap in the marketplace, and you fill it: easy-peasy. University campuses are full of ideas for businesses. For example, David Langer was at Oxford University when he co-founded Group Spaces. It started as a service for Oxford University clubs. Today it is servicing more than two millions users worldwide in more than 100 countries. "It was to solve a problem that we had as students".

The fast-food delivery service appetise.com was students idea from Warwick University. "It was to solve a problem that we had as students," says co-founder Steve Barnes." Trying to order a take-away, we used to order in groups of 10 or 20 people. And organize that over the telephone is a bit of a nightmare." Now with our product, everyone can sit down at the computer, place their order and then submit it all in one order. It's very easy to see an itemized bill to see who owes what. "Keep it simple, and answer an in-your-face need.
